Indian poha recipe are;
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 small potato, peeled and finely chopped
1/3 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
8-10 curry leaves
1 green chill, finely chopped
1 pinch of Hing
1 ½ tablespoon ground nuts
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 ½ teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon grated coconut
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
Method to make best
Indian Poha recipe
1 heat the pan
2-tablespoons oil in a pain. Add mustard seed when they start to splutter, add
cumin seed, green chilies, curry leaves, peanuts and a pinch of asafetida.
Allow them to sizzle until chilies turn crisp for approx. 30 to 40 second
2 Add chopped onions & saute until onions turn
translucent
3 Add chopped potatoes and salt
4 Mix well and cook covered until potatoes turn tender. This
will take around 3 to 4minutes & mix well in between to prevent sticking
5 add the turmeric powder & mix well again till 1
minutes
6 wash & drain the poha in a strainer
7 add soaked poha & mix well
8 cook for 3 minutes & add lemon juice, dry grated
coconut
9 add finely chopped coriander leaves
10 mix well & turn off the flame after 1 minutes
